Carole Jean Williams, 82, of Lambertville, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home, Monday, January 07, 2019. She was born October 24, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio to Frederick and Ione (Schrinel) Schick.

Carole graduated from St. Ursula Academy in 1954. Upon graduation she travelled to Europe with her parents aboard the Queen Elizabeth. Their trip was highlighted by an audience with Pope Pius, XIII at the Vatican.

Carole attended the Mercy School of Nursing and received her associate’s degree as a Registered Nurse in 1976. She provided care in the Obstetrics Units at both Parkview and Flower hospitals.

Carole was an accomplished, self-taught, seamstress and quilter. She hand crafted exquisite heirloom quality quilts which she gifted to family members and friends. She enjoyed working with glass and created multiple intricate stained glass lamps and large leaded glass door panels for her home.

She traveled extensively throughout the United States with her husband, Jack, in their motor home and spent 15 winters in Bellaire Beach, Florida. They also travelled to Europe twice, where they played golf at all the famous Scottish links courses, including St. Andrews. Carnoustie was her favorite. Carole had a lifelong love of all music, especially classical. Jack and Carole travelled to Toronto and New York City several times to enjoy theater. She shared her love of music and theater with her granddaughters, always playing music in the car with them and giving them the experience of Broadway. Carole also enjoyed golfing, boating, and fishing. She had 2 hole in ones! She was a lover of all animals, but especially her collies and her dear poodle Maxx. She was an amazing cook and baker. She loved baking her wonderful salt bread for family and friends. She loved bargain hunting at thrift shops and garage sales. Spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren was always priority one. She was a wonderful, loving, supportive and encouraging wife, mother and grandmother.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dr. Jack Williams; son Mark (Patricia) Dreher; daughter Robin (Michael)Boose; grandchildren, Hannah, Catherine and Rachel Boose; step-children Randall, Christopher, Jeffrey Williams and Beth Lortie; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A private celebration of life memorial service will be held where the family will reminisce while enjoying all of her favorite food, music and memories.

Donations in Carole’s memory can be made to the Toledo Area Humane Society.

We are so sorry for your loss. Please accept our heartfelt sympathies. It was a pleasure to live beside of Jack and Carole for approx. 13 years, and enjoyed our talks with Carole and seeing Maxx and Onyx playing in the backyard. All the best wishes to Jack and the entire family.

Sorry for your loss. The passing of a dear loved one, is a difficult experience for family members. Sorry for your loss. It is through the privilege of prayer that a bereaved family can experience God's love and comfort in the most intimate way. May the family find comfort through prayerful reliance on Jehovah, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the hearer of prayer and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials. 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4; Psalms 65:2.
