Obituary for James David Cline

James (Jim) D. Cline
After unexpectedly falling into a coma earlier this week, Jim passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13th at 4 ‘til 4 surrounded by the love of his family.
Jim was a gregarious man with the biggest heart and jolliest laugh. He was full of love and would give anyone the shirt off his back. Jim was the happiest when everyone was together laughing, celebrating, and eating good food. He was a generous father, and his greatest pride was being "dad." He was lovably mischievous, and rumor has it that he shined shoes for the Jewish Mafia as a teen; he also knew how to connect with people to make a buck. He would usually turn around and give that buck to any person in need. Jim loved the sound of his voice- as a child, he thought his crying sounded “purdy” and then used to embarrass his own kids when they were teens as he would break out in song in public. Jim had a soft spot in his heart for babies and children, and became the grandpa to every kid he met and treated his dog Lucky as if he were his child. He loved talking politics and keeping up with current events. He spent his life in car sales and was a proud Freemason.
He is survived by his ex-wife and dear friend, Faye Kitchen; daughter, Jen Cline; son-in-law, Peter Hussey; son, James Cline II; grandchildren; Caroline, William and Charlie Hussey; brother, Ron Cline and wife, Pam; Sister, Jane Keel and late husband Jack; Sister, Marcia Bevan. And- of course, his faithful dog, Lucky. His kind spirit and generosity will be missed by all.
The family would like to thank the caring team at St. Vincent’s Hospital for their support during this challenging time.
